FAQs

Can I bring my own food & drink?

You are welcome to bring your own picnic and snacks to all Adventure Cinema events. Some venues have their own policy regarding alcohol and bringing in glass, so please make sure you check the specific venue page for your event before attending.

Food, snacks, soft drinks and a bar will be available at most events and we recommend bringing cash as not all vendors will take card payments.

We will always aim to have have vegetarian and gluten-free options available, but if you have specific dietary requirements, it is advisable to bring a little something along with you, just in case there isn’t something suitable at the event.

No BBQs are allowed on site.

Do I need a paper ticket?

All of our ticketing is done electronically so you will not be sent a physical ticket. You can print out your e-tickets if you like but we advise saving the paper and loading the tickets on your phone or tablet to be scanned at the ticket tent on entrance.

Can I buy a ticket on the door?

Tickets must be purchased in advance online only. Our events sell out quickly so book your tickets while you still can.

What happens if it rains?

All of our events are outdoor and will go ahead in the event of rain. Please check the forecast on the day of the screening and come prepared for the conditions. If it does rain we just need to call upon the Great British spirit, dress accordingly, and live for the moment!

Our team closely monitor weather forecasts in the lead up to our shows and should there ever be any concern regarding the weather, we will inform all ticket holders by email/text but otherwise it can be assumed that shows will be going ahead as planned.

Are the events accessible?

All events are held on short grass and will have accessible toilet facilities. Please make sure to check the specific venue page for your event for more information on access. Should you need assistance at the event, please make yourselves known to our friendly stewards and they will be happy to help.

Do you offer tickets for carers?

We offer complimentary standard tickets for registered carers. Please email [email protected] with your order number and we will issue the complimentary carer's ticket. Please note, this does not apply to premium tickets and identification may be required upon entry.

Are children allowed to attend?

Our staff are legally required to ask for proof that all attendees are old enough to watch an age restricted film if they have any doubt. In order to prove your age we require official I.D. that includes a photo and date of birth such as a passport, drivers licence or student card.

Under 16s must always be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Children under 2 can come in for free and do not need a ticket.*

*This does NOT apply to our Julia Donaldson shows featuring Room on The Broom, The Gruffalo & Stickman. Children Under 1 can attend these shows for free but do require a ticket. All other ages will need a standard ticket to attend.

At every show, the film certification always applies and ID will be requested where deemed necessary. We reserve the rights to refuse entry to anyone under 16 who is unaccompanied or anyone who is under the certification age.

When can I arrive?

Most of our venues open around 1 hour 30 mins before the film starts. We recommend you arrive as early as possible to soak up the atmosphere and reserve your spot.

What time does the film start?

The film starts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes after gates opening for most events but check the information for your show in the pre-event email sent out to you in the lead up to the day.

Unless you have purchased a premium ticket, you will need to bring your own blanket or camping chair to sit on. A premium ticket includes a luxury deckchair in a prime position. Please note, premium tickets are priced the same for adults and children.

Can I bring my dog?

With the exception of assistance dogs, no animals are allowed at any of our events.

Can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable. However, if an event is postponed and rescheduled and you inform us within 14 days that you are unable to make the rescheduled date, you will be refunded in full.

Can I bring a tent or gazebo?

Tents and gazebos are not permitted as they block the view for others and can be a hazard in high winds.

Is on-site parking available?

We always try to select venues that are either centrally located or have plenty of on-site parking. Please read the venue page for your event before attending for venue specific information.

Can I smoke?

Smoking is not allowed within the seating areas for the comfort of our guests. This includes e-cigs and vapes. We usually designate a smoking area away from the audience area but some locations do stipulate no smoking on any part of the grounds. Please be considerate of others and abide by this rule.
